Yeah i agree with PDcupra Hooch.

You have put so much hard work and time into it, it would be such a big shame to see it broken. The only other Seat in this kind of league is Bill's.

It is a very specialist car and will take the right person, but your whole build thread can be viewed which is priceless in my eyes for a potential buyers, it certainly helped with my old one.

Which ever way you go though i wish you all the best.

As for your motor, are you talking about just the block and head? i would have thought around 2K allthough i maybe way out either way?

engine wise £2.3k maybe £2.8K maybe which is a loss, but difficult to price an engine which has'nt run much.
how many mile actually completed on the engine? this info would help someone make their mind up

Was the engine assembly balanced when built?

Market is poor for selling ANYTHING performance orientated at moment.

I'm open to sensible offers on my APR Stage 3+ Golf at moment and that had a similar rebuild as Hooch's in Feb for strengthening....I think maybe next year hopefully the market will pick up

waw

this is, THEE most amazing thread in the history of seat cupra net, i started reading this at 11pm and its now just pased 2am, for the last 3 hours iv been absolutely knee deep into your story, the car sounds truely amazing, ur workmanship is oustanding, the car could be a stand 156 and still be amazing just with all the work uv done, its so unique, from when u just had ur first delivery to when ur father sadly passed away and no all the little issues with melting and the MAF sensor housings, and different maps, i suppose these are the things u need to deal with then ur building a one off machine, there is no instruction book or bible to doing what u have done.
like u said in heinz sight it maybe wasnt worth the money, a skyline could have easily done the same things with the same money, but there are a million of them floating about, thre are a handful of such understated hatch backs in the world,

honestly, uv given me a welth of knowledges

i know it will never hold a flame to yours however please drop a reply on my progress thread

thank you for the epic read.
my condolances with the loss of ur father

lmao

if you have to start and plan for 500bhp, plan largeport from the start.
Its not rocket science when you see the two side by side.

I have'nt seen a GT3071 anything hit those numbers in the UK yet. (although they seem ten a penny on vortex)

I have seen a gt3071r hit 500bhp but was mega boost 2.3bar+ on a 2l and on the ragged edge!
450-470 is fairly easy.

if taken literally then yes, it could technically hit 500bhp, but no one would do this as the turbo would go bang pretty soon from running silly farm boost on it

in so many words it is getting sorted. GT2X is being binned and Bill is installing a hybrid k03s

so many things need doing to the car it's depressing
