I did the rears today and it's hardly worth putting up a
guide its so easy but i'll detail what I did anyway.
Tools needed:
2x16mm spanners or a spanner and ratchet with 16mm socket.
Trolley jack
axle stand
Chisel or pry bar
Jack up the car and support with an axle stand, no need to remove the wheels
Use the trolley jack to support the spring cup, just to take the tension off the strut bolt and stop the spring releasing too quickly
Undo the strut bolt, both sides are 16mm, remove the bolt.
Lower the trolley jack to take the tension off the spring
Use a chisel or pry bar to lever the spring out from the bottom (very easy)
Swap the rubber spring cover onto the new spring and insert spring top first back in.. if its a
lowering spring like mine you'll be able to put it in by hand, if its the original spring probably will need to lever it back in with the chisel or pry bar.
Jack the spring cup back up untill the bolt holes line up with the shocker, do the bolt back up (note the nut side was originally on the side near the wheel)
Return the car to the ground and job done!
