TOOLS NEEDED:

Torx screw drivers
Flat head screw driver
Hammer
Piece of wood (for the conversion on the K03 to K04 pipe)
Spanner (I think it was a 10mm)
The patience of the virgin Mary (if you like me get stressed relatively quickly)

Difficulty: 4/10 Really is that easy......

So I bought an ITG kit of the GTi forum like an idiot not checking that it was in fact for a K04 engine. So it arrives and i realise it is a K03 kit. No worries, order up the blow off nipple that is missing £25.00 incl p&p and all ready to fit.

So I got all the bits together including the nipple that had to be added. *PLEASE MAKE CERTAIN YOU MAKE THE HOLE IN THE CORRECT SIDE OF THE PIPE* I regrettably did not after I was sure I had done it all correctly.

Secondly remove engine cover and all ancilliaries. It is a bit of a squeeze getting the clip off the pipe by the turbo inlet but stick with it you will get there.

Now fit the inlet pipe back to the turbo inlet and clamp it up again.

Next is the pipe with the MAF housing which fits to the old knobs where the engine cover connected to. Use the old grommits off the engine cover to secure this in place.

DO NOT TIGHTEN ANY OF THE CLAMPS UNTIL ALL THE PIPE WORK IS IN PLACE.

Fit the heat sheild and connect the filter and tighten up all the clamps once you are certain there is sufficient feed into the pipes on all the joins. Connect up the MAF and blow off pipe and enjoy!!! PS. You may need to get new screws for the MAF sensor as I have noticed the thread is not the same from the screws that came out originally and the kit I have did not have these screws so I had to go out and buy some.
