I keep looking through threads on this site and finding ouy loads of handy things about my ibiza. Thought it would be handy to have a place to put anything you find out.

I was thinking things like the wiper service mode, coming home headlight function, the little button on the bottom of 1 of the stalks (took me 6 months to notice that one) and the autolock feature.

Fair enough these are all things that you could find out by reading your handbook from start to finish, but the majority of people dont have time for that :p

Anybody else got any nifty features they want to mention?

    LIST:

    Wiper Service Mode
Moves wipers into the middle of the windscreen
Used when you need to lift your wipers off the screen to clean, replace blades etc.
    Instructions:
Turn the key all the way to the left (anticlockwise) without removing it, wait a couple of seconds, then flick the wiper stalk down once.
DO NOT ATTEMP TO LIFT THE WIPERS FOR ANY REASON WITHOUT ENTERING THIS MODE,
    THIS IS WHY - http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=253544

    Autolock
Locks the car when you drive away.
Used to prevent access from OUTSIDE of the car.
It will automatically unlock if airbag is deployed to allow emergency access.
    Instructions:
Insert key, start engine, within a couple of seconds of doing this, press the lock button in the center console. If it doesnt work, try again and try holding the button down for a second or two (took me a few attempts). Lock icon in center console will flash when changed.

    Remote Controlled Windows
Opens and closes the windows remotely using the keyfob.
Used on sunny days and just to look cool?
    Instructions:
Press and hold lock button on keyfob to close remotely, press and hold unlock button on keyfob to open.

    Auto Rear Wiper
Used to ensure you have a clear view out of your rear window.
    Instructions:
NONE, simply put your car into reverse and it will automatically wipe for you (only if wipers are ON at the time).

    Speed notification
Chimes when you reach a set speed.
Used to remind you when you go over the limit etc.
    Instructions:
Navigate to the screen that is by default at (--mph). Hold the button under the wiper stalk for a second or two until the screen flashes. Use the up down buttons on the end of the stalk to set a speed, then press the button under the stalk to set.

    Saving Stereo Settings
Stores settings for easy switching between different modes.
Used when different settings are needed for different inputs.
    Instructions:
    Setting up your stereo-
    Press the "audio" button,
Adjust the settings using the volume knob to move between settings,
Press the volume knob to select a setting to adjust
Adjust using the volume knob, press again to set the level.
Press the button to the right of the volume knob to return to the setting selection page
    Storing Settings -
Once you're happy with the set-up, press the button to the left of the volume knob
Use the volume knob to select a memory location,
Press and hld the volume knob for a few seconds,
The headunit will chime when the setting is saved.
To recall a previously saved setting, press the button to the left of the volume knob,
Select the setting to load and press the volume knob to load the setting

    More to come...

Auto-windows; press and hold the lock (to close) or unlock (to open) button to open/close all four windows

Reverse; Yes, your rear wiper does automatically wipe once when you select reverse (took me by surprise the first time)

Stereo Settings Save; brilliant, i've found that my ipod needs the stereo set up differently to the radio and different to the CD player, also, i'll have different settings for if i'm in the car on my own to when i've got passengers.

[might i suggest that you compile all the suggestions into a single list in your original post, possibly grouped in some manner when the list gets bigger to facilitate finding the relevant info]
[also, may be useful to get a definite list of the bulb types required for each bulb on the different models all in one place]

It is a "reset" button essentially. others could tell you in more detail, but it can also be used to activate the speed alert feature.

If you press and hold it it resets the trip computer (can someone clarify if it resets both trip computers or just the one selected.. i've never bothered to check)
It also swaps between trip1 and trip2 if pressed briefly (for ave mpg, ave speed, trip distance)

If you go to the speed alert screen (---mph) and press it, you can then use the up/down buttons to set a speed, above which the car will bong at you (suppose it's handy for ave speed cameras if you don't have CC, or perhaps have it set at 95mph so you know if you're approaching the license losing point )

I've used the speed bong a few times, just gets annoying! Which I guess is the point.

I've only got an ECO, so I doubt its got all the fancy extras lol

How do you activate the coming home lights? AND the autolock feature?

I DO like the boot button on the remote. Where fi the car is locked, you press this button, it unlocks the boot, you open it and when you close it it auto locks again. :)

Auto-lock is exactly that, if you unlock the car but then don't open a door within a certain period it automatically relocks the car for you.

There are quite a few nifty features this is a good idea. Edit your first post when we get them all to give full instructions to activate them.

    Nice one mate.

    will do :)

actually the auto lock feature isnt where it locks if you dont open a door, it is when the doors lock for you automatically when you drive away...

Haha, i often play the "can i beat the lock" game.
Need to test to see if it'll lock once the doors are shut after a certain period of time, according to the AA man that came out to look at my car once, some cars will do that and end up locking keys in the car... don't want to be caught out!
