Hi. Got probs with my oem xenon lights. Basically what i want to do is obtain some new standard lights for my mk2 leon. Take them alart and add some decent ds1 projectors so i can use the oem ballasts and not waste money throwing new bulbs away. I realise ill lose afs and level control which dont work anyway. So is there a harness i can get or adaptors to plug in to the large lighting plug on each headlight to the light socket on the standard lights?? Thanks in advance

Feel for ya. I've just had the AFS pack in. I contacted a few "specialists" because I figured I'd do the same, just get some nice HIDs with maybe Audi drls fitted for way less money. None of them would touch it because apparently the harness is too complicated for anything other than OEM xenons. So good luck if you can get around that. But also, if you fit HIDs that don't auto level, it'll fail the MOT anyway I believe.

In the end, I had to fork out for an oem enclosure (water got in and burnt out the power pack) and new AFS power pack. Cost a small fortune. But I couldn't find any other way around it.

Think the enclosure was £470+VAT (includes an OEM xenon bulb as well). The AFS power pack was £280 (+VAT I think).

Yeah, I wasn't best pleased. But after trying to get any garage to sort it for nearly 2 months. I eventually just gave in and paid whatever to whoever would make the problem go away. Don't be deterred tho because I've just seen this!

For sale FB group. I've asked for a link to where he got the lights from. Weird, as I said, the "specialist" I asked said no way would they touch them. Obviously someone can / will.
