My rear wiper is leaking from where it joins the wiper, is there a way of removing the hatch plastic trim without breakage?

Ive tried (with help) and it seems like im going to break it

If you have undone all of the screws then the only thing holding it on are the metal clips. They just need a good hard pull. Best way is to start a one end and slowly do it one clip at a time!

thanks

we've undone the screws and some of the clips are loose, but even pulling hard the rest just don't want to move.

need to fix it so my boot doesn't flood!

Ok we managed after a lot of rough tugging at the trim, and secured the pipe. Wiper jet is now working.
I hope it doesnt come loose too soon

Thanks :)

Hum, well I managed to break my wife's Polo trim - at the bottom, these clips really do grip and refitting usually means breaking some and even where they are held in the trim, yes, not a pleasant job to need to do. The first time I removed the Polo trim was to replace the hatch handle as it corroded badly (a unique Polo problem), next time it was to fit a repair kit to the wiper and washer system.
