Hi all, finally I'm going to get around to doing my readers ride i think!

Been a member on here for fookin ages and have sat back watching what others do and its impressive what people take on and make work!

Im originally from Newbury Berkshire so you may see me either driving on the motorways down there from time to time or most likely driving around lincoln :p

If you see me feel free to flash lol im always on the lookout for others from the forum!

Welcome to my car and Hello to anyone looking!

Also would deffo recommend anyone in the Lincoln Area to use Allwoods to buy any car parts, i've used them so much and there always helpful!

Vag Autocare services, Gaz is a genius with the ibiza engine! he was one of the first people to have stage 2 and fmic on his ibiza many years ago and knows my car inside out....

deffo recommend using him if your in the area.

Firstly!

All nice as it is tbh, although after joining this forum i realized what i could do to my car in terms of subtle mods which IMO make the car look better!

One nice simple Mod was the Long old aerial swapped for a nice new Stubby looking aerial!

IMG_0122.jpg

Bought from eBay for around £7! Bargain and a well under rated change IMO.

De-badging

Soon the de-badging process began :p

Surprisingly once the badges all go everyone and anyone thinks there quicker than the little old beeza! Even the brave little 1.2L corsa's!

Usual Removal of all badges from rear of car and i also did the side 'Fr' badges as i didn't want people to know i had Turbine power!

IMG_0140.jpg

IMG_0142.jpg

Also removed the awful Garage advertising in the rear window....

Front Grill time....

Another really cheap change to the car which i prefer was to swap the chrome edged badge for black. For a while i went with no front seat badge however i didn't really like it so changed to a vinyl wrapped one....

Wooo 17's

Wahey my favorite change of all.....

Replaced my old 15 inch alloys that came with the car for some New Black Advanti Racing Alloys!

Solely because when i tried to replace 2 of my tyres i was quoted astronomical prices.....

New set of 4 17inch alloys Inc Toyos £450.... Bargain.

Arrived:

Then there was Light!

All was well with my car until one of my headlight bulbs died, at which point i did the sensible thing and went to buy a new bulb.....

however when i arrived at Allwoods i was shown a nice shiny new set of 8K HID's for a bargain price of £70 approx.

End result, fantastic. Vision is greatly improved at night and it looks sahweeeet.

Money Money Money....

Well money seemed to be shorter than usual so any large or expensive mods had to wait...

so i did the clever thing and bought some little bits to keep me going in between!

Bought A Momo Seat Sport Red Gear Knob,

A Cupra Handbrake Cover,

Cupra Red Vent Clips,

Black Wing mirror covers to replace the silver ones,

A few Metres Of Matt Black Vinyl Wrap

And A black with red stitching Gaiter for the gear knob and handbrake!

Vent Clips, Nice and easy subtle mod that look very tasteful in any car id say!

IMG_0087.jpg

Handbrake cover etc,

Right all of these jobs to anyone who can actually do D.I.Y are simple.... To someone like me, not so simple. Haha armed with a pair of plies, stapler, Stanley, WD40, Rag and all important Blunt Butter Knife i achieved them all... Hawkins 1 Ibiza 0

I got the old one off by well hacking it to pieces.... I couldn't unclip the thing at the back of it so i went to stanley and butter knife for help

IMG_0137.jpg

IMG_0138.jpg

The new ones went on easy enough though woop.

Watching Me struggle to get the leather to stay in place while i clipped it back in place.... Priceless.

Never has a car made me so mad i wanted to nut the b pillar.... haha

Came off relatively easily but for one jubilee clip,

New one went on even easier bar the leather gaiter..... but it was all worth it in the end!

Wing Mirror covers,

I was going to leave the silver ones on, however i wanted a black on black theme.

Plus My Fr badges were gone yet anyone who knows anything about ibizas would of seen the silver and known it was an Fr.

So out came the butter knife and off came the old covers!

Tools:

Stanley, Hairdryer, Vinyl and a solid surface.

Rear Exhaust change

Well i got an offer i couldn't refuse for a cat back exhaust from a cupra that had done less than 10k miles!

So i took it, got it fitted and it really makes the back of the car look much better.

I didn't want the noise of a milltek or any other exhaust, and wanted the oem look.

Paint calipers.... Check

Decided to set the black off id go with red calipers to match the red already on the alloys.

Bought some Bright red paint made by Savage, £10 from Allwoods!

Thought id put a few pics up of where i jacked it up etc just encase anyone needed to know!

Rear Jacking:

IMG_0764.jpg

Front Jacking:

IMG_0760.jpg

I used a piece of paper folded up between disc and caliper so as to not get paint anywhere, couldn't really be bothered to go the whole hog and remove them!

IMG_0738.jpg

IMG_0737.jpg

IMG_0742.jpg

IMG_0747.jpg

IMG_0755.jpg

Did the rears aswell, obviously had to clean both the front and rear calipers down as best as i could before painting.

IMG_0763.jpg

IMG_0754.jpg

All in all it went well and was well worth the money and time i used to do it.

Would recommend to anyone who fancies doing something to there car without spending a great deal!

haha also left them overnight F1 style in bin bags :p

Well surprisingly i needed to get a new front left spring sharpish.

I was quoted £75 from seat dealer.... For one.

Could get a set of 4 P.I lowering springs from allwoods for £150.

Or a set of JOM coilovers from DPM performance for £195 delivered i think?!

Btw delivery time was fantastic, ordered weds. Arrived friday and got them fitted on the monday.
