Headlamp protectors and continental conversion

Hi,
Has anyone used the headlamp protectors with the continental conversion stickers on. I have just bought some and it says not for use with Xenons. Can anyone confirm or deny their efficacy in this situation?
Cheers,
Chris.

Further to that,
When i tried fitting them there was an ominous crack as i tried to close the bonnet. I immediately stopped and now need to ask if i'm doing something wrong when trying to fit. There doesn't seem enough clearance between the bonnet and the headlamp for them. Anyone got experience of using these?
Cheers,
Chris.

I have used the headlight proctectors earlier this year and they went on fine. Was a tight fit when the bonnet when down, but stayed on for a whole week and worked perfectly..

Regarding using them with Xenons i believe that they should not be used.

Did the clips at the bottom of the protectors hold them about 1cm away from the actual headlight, it looked to be a long way out to me but i can't see how else they go?
Cheers,
Chris.

You do have to push the tabs in a way.
The protectors should fit close to the headlights. They have little plastic circles on the inside of the protectors to sit against the headlights. Once the tabs are in they should then just clip over the top of the headlights. Almost snaps shut. Then just close thebonnent

I must be doing something wrong because the tabs don't seem to push in anywhere. Are they supposed to slip in between the bottom of the headlamp and the top of the bumper, i can't see anywhere for them to go?
Cheers,
Chris.

The tabs go between the headlights and the bumper. You have to gve them. A good push. Don't worry about damaging the bumper. They do slide in. Just need some pressure to get the tabs in.

Successfully put the protectors on. I would never have thought to put that much pressure on the tabs if you hadn't siad that, so thanks very much for your help.
Cheers,
Chris.

Not a great picture of the protectors, as only use them for driving abroad.

Thanks for the advice re the amount of pressure you need - it seems that it might be very easy to crack the top clip and scratch the light itself. Take it easy!!
