Hi folks

As per my introduction thread I'm working through a load of niggles on the Ibiza, found a new one this morning.

I have climate control and it seems to have a mind of it's own, fan is sometimes on, sometimes off. The temp and direction controls seem to be fairly stable at least, but the fan is an issue for cold mornings like today.

I've searched and read a few threads, but wanted to confirm a course of action:

Firstly test voltage at fan for different settings of controller.
Apply 12V direct to fan

I suspect it's the resistor pack as the fan actually works (sometimes... and isn't loud etc) but nervous it could be the climate unit itself.

Any tips before I rip the dash apart (again)?

Thanks

Can your climate control control the fans as well as the temperature as it may be trying to keep your car at a vonstant temperature

That's a good point but it's not that.
The screen can be showing the fan on full, for demist for example, but not actually blowing.

Seems worse once the car has been running for a bit, fan blows ok at the beginning of a journey

It might be the control unit as the fans do come on but may not be constantly powered for some reason
