Spoke to the local seat dealer today while testing an LCR and he reckoned they won't do a 4x4 over here as SEAT have problems getting it working when the car is made right hand drive - something about a differential.
Also he reckons it won't be here till the new year as the factory has not started making any yet and it takes 3 months plus to make - apparently they close the entire of August at the factory as well.
Lads, it aint gonna happen. Audi will not let Seat take its market by releasing a 4wd hot hatch. Having had a new shape 4wd A3 you seriously wouldn't want it anyway, spoils the whole feel of the car... the old LCR was better by far.
I must say I test drove an A4 1.8T quattro before I bought the new Leon, the Audi wasn't anyway near as good to drive as the Leon. That's progress I guess, (and the new Golf platform!)
