Check the fuses in the plastic box on top of the battery. Had exactly same problem with mine. The fuse from the alternator cable had blown due to the cable overheating. Connected cable straight to terminal to get the car home, then replaced the cable and fuse. Job done.
defo sounds like what i had and mine was alterator cable. the reason you have no battery is because you car has not been charging it as its going. when you drive with lights,heater radio etc sure drains the battery
breakdown came out found main feed fuse on battery partly broke arcing stopping alternator current straigtened fuse for better contact reading 14 amps does this make sense fuse holder plastic melted
