High pitch whistle, can anybody help

Hi guys new to the forum, just bought a an ibiza sport 1.9 tdi 100 bhp when left to idle for a few minutes it gives off a high pitch whistle like an old fashioned kettle, goes away when u rev the car slightly, have a video on my phone i am not sure how u post it on here tho!

Hiya mate, have you tried turning the air con off? It might not be it, but with me there was a high pitched whistle that I tracked down to the air con. Something must have got stuck in the fan.

My car does it on idle and so does my mates. Think it's just the turbo spooling

I think this is just the turbo spooling when the EGR valve opens, there was a previous thread on this, don't know where I read it though

Thanks for the info i think ive got a boost leak the turbo has a high whistle when it kicks in sometimes loose power when crusing at 1500 rpm
