i wana do some engine mods. and have read that the sandard ecu isnt up to much. so i need the brains of scn to help me.
first off megasquirt/megajolt are they the same thing?

what ecu would i need.. i'd like to use a waisted spark system ,,ford edis?
is it ms v3 that has the driver to the ignition set up? do i need a wide band o2 sensor. or is the one fitted to my car the right one?
can any one give me the list of parts i need
i.e model of ecu board, wiring loom and anything else. and a good shop site to get it all from.
and one last thing are the ms ecu's any good. have they any problems
i've looked at so many sites im lost as to what i need.

megasquirt is what you need. megajolt can only do spark.

MS, with MS&E code does spark & fuel. It can run your distributor, and all your sensors.

The 16v only has a narrowband, but you don't "need" one to run

easy to build & test. Buy a relay board though - it makes the wiring much easier. and a relay board cable.

I bought my bits from the USA.

It's not plug & play though....

You don't need the 12' harness if you have a relay board.

A stim is for testing & setting up (I borrowed mine from a guy at work)

It needs a lot of programming, so isn't for the faint hearted.... it's straightforward enough though

erm no.

out of the relay board is about 20 wires. but about 14 go straight into it from the DB37 connector.

i reckon it'll be easier on the 16v than converting a twin carbed / points dizzy Rover V8 - lol
