Hi all,

My first post in this forum and it's exactly with this problem you've solved! I have replaced what I thought the exact same wheels, just the old one was in a very very poor condition.. (see pictures attached). After replacing it, the horn stopped working. I believe, the problem is exactly what @dm222 has solved in the past. @dm222 , I can't see the second picture you have uploaded here and the way the white plastic parts should look like.. Can you please attach the picture again if you still have it?

Thank you!

Thank you! I now understand what the problem is..

Aaaaand here goes my search for those plastic bits.. Do you have any by any chance or know someone that has? It would save me so much time! I couldn't find any exploded airbags on the internet unfortunately.

You need to get a >= 2010 ibiza airbag
Exploded so its cheaper
Scrap yards would be your best chance

That source makes a lot of sense as a "used" steering wheel airbag should not be worth much and not many people will be looking/asking for one, so maybe check with a local scrap yard and book/reserve the next one to come into that scrap yard.

Been there.... solved that...

The only thing you need to do is find a bad airbag unit >=2010 and take the 4 white parts and put them in your airbag... horn will work even better than in the original steering wheel :)

This is yours:

Hi, I am experiencing the same problem. It was in fact the white clips would not press down enough for the metal prongs of the horn to initiate contact. I have visited the scrapyard and got a blown airbag with black clips instead which looks fairly similar and am yet to find out if they work. I am unable to see the clips you have posted. Could you please show me the second picture? Thank you
