How Do I Remove A Non-operational Electric Seat

Hi guys,

I own a MK2 Toledo (year 2000) 1.8 20v with electric seats and ran into the following problem. While I was moving my drivers seat back, the seat itself just died. None of the adjustments are currently usable. The passenger seat works just fine, so I set aside a possible fuse issue. What I believe is the root cause of the problem is a loose connection, which leads me to my question. How do I remove the seat, so I can check the connections, without being able to use the controls to slide it back to end of the rail. To make it even worse, I have the seat height set to the lowest position because I'm a tall guy and the lack of headroom is killing me at any other setting, so accessing the seat from below is also going to be almost impossible.

Any thoughts, ideas, comments and instructions are more than welcome.

Kind regards,
R

You may find the seats are individually fused maybe worth a check .
Will be a struggle , you may be able to get a long extension in the front unbolt the seat and be able to lift it slightly ,either way it sounds like it won't be easy
