How do you rate your Altea XL as a family car?

We have a 15 month old and due our next one in November so in desperate need to upgrade our trusty Golf tdi.

After months of extensive research and going round in circles looking at popular MPVs (Scenic, Zafira. C-Max) I came across the Altea XL and felt like we'd found the perfect car for us! Boot space is a massive appeal and looks much more stylish than others. Similarities with VW a huge bonus too.

Test drove one at the weekend and have just put a deposit down on a 1.9 TDI Stylance.

Does anyone else have this car for their family? Any feedback would be great

Had it from new for about 18 months now; done 35k, family of 4 (11+8) - can't really fault our Altea at all. Great mpg, smooth gear changes, no issues at all. [XL 1.6 CR DSG]

You won't be disappointed!

Can't comment on the XL, but we got the standard Altea because it could fit 3 teenagers comfortably in the back, and because it felt like a proper car rather than a utility vehicle.
