well this is it, i wouldnt be suprised if you did have to activate it in vag com. as on renaults etc you dont have to activate cruise, its just a case of plug it in! try putting 12v to each wire(bar the heater element!!) so you can fathom out which wire goes where, then check voltage to the plug from the switch then to the switch...

still not sure
the mirrors have correct cabling and plug in them.
if you look in etka at the parts list it quite clearly has two listed, as per page 2.

was hoping somebody could just check motor part number on a working car and then quick trip to breakers/stealers to order as needed.
would need to purchase a volt meter so may as well purchase mototrs

I would just look at the part numbers on etka for a non folding car ie yours, and the numbers on a cupra or cupra R and see if they are the same or not. i would look on vagcat for you but the site is not working at the moment

in etka, its weird.
you select model & year then have to find the bits.
not all items/parts have a specific car against them. Brakes do, but these don't. just distinguishes between lhd & rhd

Passenger motor is 1J0959801G

Also note the central locking and folding mirror does not work with my motor removed although the connector is on the central locking motor.

lee, thanks for the part number as confirmed description, i knew which to get for a 2004 model.

I have this morning applied mirrors & motors and all is bingo bango working.
now for autowindow so can fold & unfold on lock & unlock but that's after bonnet respray & scratch damage repair which isn't looking cheap!!

As such I will later upload a few pics and steps and part numbers of what was needed to accomplish this.

thanks for help all along the way

i was looking in to this a while ago as my old leon had heated, electric adjusting, electric folding, even did the passenger mirror when you moved the driver mirror, but now i just have heated, electric adjusting.

thanks for doing all the hard work for all of us

I will be doing this (again) in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully it will just plug and play. The external mirrors do not have the part number stamped anywhere that is east to read so I hope I haven't been duped with the wrong mirrors

Hello there, i've swaped a couple months ago my passanger's side power folding mirror. It was plug and play. A rectangle switch with 8 cables and that's it.
I have square mirrors and not teardrop ones.

Its worth mentioning that it already had electric power folding mirrors (00' Leon 1.9TDI). Just changed for small size to regular size mirror (Portugal use a smaller passanger side mirror).

Cheers.
