    turbo is £895+vat
It can do 315bhp on 1.6bar boost which is the max I would go to for egt's based on what I have logged.

    Hi,

okay, but 315 hp is not much. : (
Lupo K03 hybrid plus - much better! or?

For me, the "K04 hybrid" only one option if it creates min. 330 hp.
I thought the K04 Hybrid turbocharger creating this hp.
Turbo Dynamics writes about her, that he reached 340-360 hp. (stage 4)

    not good ...

bollocks to whatever TD or any other turbo manufacturers "claim" for the k04 hybrid.. Its nonsense.

They just quote what the comp wheel is on paper able to flow.. BUT they will not flow that in the hybrids, the hotsides are too small.

Lupo made 326bhp today. on its K03/4/2283 hybrid after installing the e-boost controller so I have smoother dialed in boost.

I would'nt believe what the turbo suppliers tell you..
The lupo is real power on my dyno, which is a tough dyno generally figure wise..

    Pretty happy with this personally.
    :D

    hello,

Another option for more horsepower, the "K04 turbo TFSI"
of 2.0T. The elbow can be adjusted for the 1.8 T cylinder head. If one uses a hybrid TFSI K04, 350 HP should be possible.

As James has said, the exhaust mani on the TFSI is different to the 1.8T..

    Plus, a standard k04 TFSI will make 350bhp :)

    Excellent result Bill,
326 bhp is unbelieveable especially considering its limitations and how mean your rollers are.;)
The turbo smart e boost controller is a superb piece of kit and completely tamed my hybrid, no spikes what so ever and i've yet to see a custom mapper achieve that degree of flatline delivery using the n75. Having a high and low setting is ubber handy and the AUX output which is rpm/ boost dependent is ideal for basic wmi control. An absolute bargin if you ask me and since i find it easy to set upo and use....... it must be.
You can tweak my knob the next time i'm on the dyno.:D

where are you folks getting these E-boost controllers from? I've only seen them from abroad on ebay for around £300 or so.

I was looking at the gizzmo MS-IBC, but wondering if I'd be better off with the E-boost.

Had a look at the specs on the e-boost and from what I can tell it has alot of the same features as the Greddy profec B.

Im running the Greddy and find this very handy. I´ve heard people get good 2.hand grabs on these now a days. Worth a checkout imo.

    Sorry for hijacking....:)

    @chris-gti

Has anyone tried the spiderworx exhaust manifold with a k04 or K04 hybrid yet?
Any dyno/RR figures available (before (std K04 manifold)/after (spiderworx))?

HPerformance has also developed an exhaust mani for 1,8T:
    xttp://xxx.hperformance.de/bilder/produkte/gross/2902_1.jpg
    xttp://xxx.hperformance.de/bilder/produkte/gross/2902_2.jpg
(sorry, I´m not allowed to post URLs yet but i think you know how to get the pics)

Real hard to find any infos or user statements/experiences about both manifolds.

Looking at the pipe length and curves i would prefer spiderworx over hperfomance.

    @badger5
I know you´ve got a lot of knowledge of the 1,8T engines (read a lot topics from you in this forum and in audi-sport.net (A3S forum) as well  , sadly i´m not based in the UK) so what do you think about the manifolds?
Are they worth the money comparing them to the JBS manifold (also used/copied in germany by HG-Motorsport)?
I know you´ve not tried them yet but theoretically thinking..... ;)
How much HP could be claimed above the std k04 mani and the JBS?

    BTW
Great forum, great users, great knowledge!
(Reading for 2 new years now w/o register myself and following the K04 hybrid thread very kindly - still unsure to go K04 hybrid or GT28RS / EFR 6258 for road/track car)
    Chris
