Hybrid turbo - confused.com!!! pls help

hi

sorry if you've got this thread already; damn security software kicked me out and not sure if my post went on!!!! added to this; I'm new at this so not sure if this question has already been answered (sorry!)

anyway, i have a leon1.9tdi cupra 160pd and am looking to upgrade the turbo but don't know where to start. i have mixed reports from friends about who to use. im lloking to get 250 bhp if thats poss? can anyone recomend a company and also ref re-mapping; who to use? thanks to anyone who can help

Have you a had a looky looky at the search function on here? There's quite a big section on Hybrid/Big Turbo conversions mate, don't know if it'll help but it's worth a go....

With 160bhp is that not a mk2?

PD160 is a mistake, it will be a PD150 or PD130, they didnt do a PD160 in the mk1 leon

I was quoted by Turbo Dynamics for a MD376 which they say is good for 250hp and 400ft/lbs of torque. They have it on their website to buy for £885 - does anyone have any idea if its good for it? I don't want to buy it and its no good!

So I finally decided and bought the MD376 from Turbo Dynamics and managed to nab it cheaper on their web shop and it is schweet! I had the car remapped and it now it is pushing 243bhp and 367ft/lbs of torque. I think I might invest in a new exhaust to get a bit more out of it though!! Have to say; the guys at TD were really helpful and knew their stuff.

What modifications have you done other than the turbo and remap?
Also who did the remap?

I've got a green cotton panel air filter, Forge FMIC, uprated injectors, brembo brakes and wheels from cupra r, remap was done by DMS in Hampshire.
