I think if you add all up, buying NEW (to compare the quality) k04 parts like turbo, manifold, waterlines, downpipe and so on, it won't be more expensive....plus: a standard k04-022/23 won't reach the same level of power....
It'll still do about 270. Full potential from a hybrid your talking forged internals so to get full potential from both then the hybrid will be more expensive but maybe more reliable. Depends what power hes after.
A good friend of mine is running it with reduced power due to stock internals with about 270hp/400Nm...seems to be fine also if not pushed to the limit ^^
