I recently placed my order for my new 115ps Ibiza FR on MY68. I have been waiting now since August the 5th for my build week. The dealership contacted me confirming build week being week 44 and expected delivery by mid-November. Is this a realistic delivery date or is the dealership pulling me along??

p.s - this is my first time buying a car from brand-new so a newbie to this

I placed an order on the 12th June for a MY18 Ibiza FR and I still haven’t had a build week yet. I was told 16 weeks before delivery so yes, seems about normal.

I ordered my car from the dealer here in Malta on 28th July.. I went to the dealer today and he pointed me towards February for the car even being built.. so I doubt it..

As stated above I have now been given the build week... just seeing if the mid November delivery is a load of S***

I guess no one can say for sure, however I ordered my ibiza in May and it has an 'unconfirmed' build week of week 42 (approximate from memory) so have been told end of November/early December. It wouldn't make sense that yours would arrive before anyone who has ordered before you, so I would say you may be in a long line.
My Dealership said they are quoting March for people ordering now. The lead times posted on here are extremely inaccurate

I ordered mine on 19th of May, it was build on the last week of June and I got it mid-August. When I placed the order they said mid-September, but they managed to deliver earlier.

Wow you did well! I was initially told end of September, but my order showed no information and even now the build date is unconfirmed.

Wow you did well! I was initially told end of September, but my order showed no information and even now the build date is unconfirmed.

Very weird... it only took me just over 4 weeks in total from order to confirmed build week so unsure as to why your's is still unconfirmed?

Could potentially be down to the extra's you added to the car (pano roof and rear sensors have been added to mine)

Mine is still unconfirmed too. I have added Metallic paint, LED's and 18" Alloys so maybe that's why? I don't know

I’ve gone DSG Xcellence with the luxury pack (not the 2019 one) 115Bhp with Med Blue... doubt that’s the hold up.

Mine is the 95bhp FR. It's killing me seeing everyone getting theres haha

My dealer told me to come in September to discuss the delivery date since August is pretty much useless.

He said Late Nov, early December latest. Went on Wed, different sales person. Guy just smirked and said. Buddy. You gotta wait another 5-6 months mate.

Kills me. Especially since there’s only one dealer in Malta for SEAT. So I can’t do anything about it.

At the time I ordered mine (Sunday 5th August) the full LED and 18" wasn't available anymore (alloys due to some new regulations with emissions... could be the reason :/)

I ordered around the 12th June, order was accepted by the factory a month later.

Could it be the standard FR can only be speced with 17" and only now FR Sport has 18"?

Yeah that was my problem, I wanted the pano roof which was unavailable on the sport so had to go for the standard FR with the 17"

I’ve had my FR 115 for 2 months now, but when I was looking I was told build date was February next year due to emission tests!
Nowhere local had them in to test drive, but I found one 2 hours away who actually had the Grey in stock so I placed my order and got it within a week. Down side is I didn’t get the lights and alloy upgrade that I wanted
I’m now looking for after market alloys and HID’s or similar

I've just chased this up with the garage I've ordered mine from and had build week 44 confirmed and delivery mid to late November
