Ibiza FR PD130 Alarm Keeps Going Off!

Hi Guys,

Very recently bought my ibiza which i cannot explain how pleased i am with its power, performance and comfort for the price that i paid for it!

one very irrating problem is that the car only came with one key and no key fob,

Every time i unlock the car i put the key in the ignition and sometimes and sometimes not the alarm decides to go off which is so irratating especially at 7am in the morning when i wake up all the neighbours!

if anyone has any advice on how to fix this so that it doesnt keep going off that would be great!

don't know of a fix but isn't it dependent on the time between unlocking and turning the ignition key if you want remote etc a car type locksmith /speciallist (there's no charge for asking) is the best bet rather than the stealers

Do I need to buy a fob off eBay and code it to the ecu?

When you unlock the car with the key in the door, do the indicators flash?

I think they should, as this shows the alarm has been disabled

Also, when you open the door, does the interior light come on?

The microswitches in the doors can fail, and the car will try to lock itself with you inside!
