Hello everyone!
I'm a newby and I was wondering if any of you could give me hints on tunning my ibiza mk4 2.0 8v.
I've been loking the web for 3 months and I don't see anything that fits my specific model. I don't want anything fancy, but could someone explain me what steps should i follow to begin?
Thanks.

I know what you mean with there not being to much out there. They isn't much for that engine spec'd ibiza. You could call Milltek up and see if they will do you an exhaust, get in touch with Bill (Badger 5) for a dynatwist induction kit. Then you could get it lowered with either coilovers or normal lowering springs and uprated shocks, get wheel spacers for the rear from either jbs or badger 5 again, that will settle the rear end rather than it getting twitchy.
Anyway thats my contribution for you, im sure there will plenty more people add there two peneth. :D

unfortunatley the 2.0 sport is a bit of lemon as far as tuning.

The usual suspect should be easy, exhaust, Filter. I believe AMD and a couple of others do offer a mild remap for the 2.0 but don't expect to see much more than a few horsies extra.

Apart from that nbot much else engine wise can be done.

If you are thinking of going mad on it, then you may want to look at chopping it in now before you chuck tonnes of money at it.

if not keep it.

But exterior wise, the worlds your oyster, i would raid the SEAT parts bin and keep a standard look as you can't go wrong that way. Also speak to Darren, £300 or so should secure you some cupra bumpers front and rear then just add paint, whack on some wheels and she'll look very nice.

Any questions just ask, try a search as loads of topics such as this on the site.

I am not too much in the know on these later 8v engines but werent they in the golf and the beetle at somepoint, are there not any tuning parts for those that may go straight on?

First of all, thanks for the tips guys!
Yesterday I was talking to some friends and apparently the exhaust idea seems like the best way to start. but, here is the problem. I live in colombia right now, and there is no stores or garages around that have a clue about tuning and specially for seat (you can find something in VW) so the thing is to get like blu prints of the exahust system ( for example the Miltek ones)and try whith the guys around here to make a similar one, because if i'm going to spend money and import the parts, who would tell me here if it really fits.
So, as you see i'm in a hard desicion if you know what I mean.

Have a look in the jbs section and i think its under the jbs04 title as that will take it to high 200's. I think thats what his plans are as he has taken alot of interest in it.
