Had a new Sachs performance clutch kit fitted, as the original clutch was starting to slip and decided to get a new luk dual mass flywheel at the same time. Would of liked to go for a lsd but I couldn't afford it at the time.

Big update, gearbox has been whining for a while, but the overrun noise in 3rd has recently got louder, so I took it to a gearbox Specialist, who has said it needs a complete rebuild, 3rd gear is missing teeth and the bearings need replacing. Going to cost just over a grand, would love to get a LSD fitted at the same time, but I just can't afford it at the moment.

What would you be getting for that money? Picking up a second hand box and rebuilding it with an LSD yourself wouldn't be a million miles more expensive, and would make sense to fit the diff whilst you're rebuilding a box rather than having to do it all again down the line.

Fully reconditioned gearbox including, cogs, bearing etc. Would like to do it myself, but live in a flat, so I don't have anywhere, where I can work on the car unfortunately.

So the weather is improving and its time to spend more money on my project, been rather busy, so not had time to update my thread so here goes- I have had a custom made TSR 3.5'' downpipe with de-cat made to fit onto the rest of the 3'' blueflame exhaust system. Also a Forge tfsi catch can was fitted with a PVC and N249 delete.

Nine year old 3'' blueflame exhaust with 100 cell cat is still in really good condition.

Rolling road graph is below, disappointed with the figures, especially the low torque. Will be better next month I hope with a upgraded maf sensor fitted.

You have a nice car. What have you put into it money wise? I'll bet she's a lot of fun on the street.

These 2 Nankang AR1 were fitted today on the front and the level is grip is just insane in the dry, no wheelspin in 3rd anymore. When I was parked up earlier in a carpark people were stopping and asking me about them as the tread pattern is pretty eye catching.

Thanks, I got them from a guy breaking his Cupra R, I guess any big vag tuning company would be able to get hold of them.

Thanks, this is the last summer I will be using the Monza-RS 18'' alloy's as next year I will be having a custom set of these made- https://2forgewheels.com/2forge-zf1/ they only weigh 8.5kg a wheel. I still have the standard cupra r wheels, they are used in between November and April with winter tyre's.

You have a mad car there. Very sleeper too. Like it.
Did you get caught out with these tyres on, in one of the recent downpours?
If so, how did they cope?

Thanks, yes the tyres are useless in the rain and not very good on a damp road either, it was like driving on ice. The yoko ad08 are far better in the wet and probably stick with those in the future until I have a second car.

Aem digital boost, air fuel ratio and oil temperature gauges fitted where the center vents used to be, using a Audi A3 8L centre air vent pod gauge holder.
