Hey just need a little info on DP's and exhaust for IHI'd ibiza's!

What downpipe is everyone running who has IHI?
    Also what size of downpipe?
Final question, what size of exhaust and has anyone taken front silencer out?

Any help would be appreciated as i think my IHI ibiza has had the wrong exhaust fitted by a company up here in scotland.

IHI DP is specific IHI and from Jabba, made by Blueflame
It is 2.5" diameter and space is VERY tight between turbo outlet and rear engine mount.
It would benefit from being 3" but space is a real premium.

No less than 2.5" exhaust probably larger if possible.

Mine ran with front silencer out, decat for a long time before going to full 3" DP and system. (one off 3" DP so not available)

Im sure my downpipe has a small hairline crack as there is a small blow from the that area? Its a 2.5" system thats on it the now but considering selling this and going for 3"? Would i benefit from this? I had 3" downpipe and system on my k03s ibiza and i like that system better from A & M?

What sort of cost is it for IHI downpipe? Do blueflame stock them? Any other people make them?

I think only Jabba sell them mate give them a call 01733211779.
It's very tight for a 3" pipe so would be extremly expensive to have one custom made.

If split it could be warranty back on BF, which they should do. (repair)
removing it is a pig however.
3" system on the 2.5" DP is loud for no gain I imagine.

3" full system on mine from 3" DP to 3" full system seems to have added nothing surprisingly... but then again its not running right either so maybe I will reserve judgement until its as it should be

Similar feeling here. Car running great, apart from smoking like a diesel, but oil leak causing burning smell.Bugger!
Oh well, oil leak should be fixed tomorrow, and new mapping too. I bloomin hope this is the end of it, and I can have a few months fun

I think Mike said they were removing the n249, and going to a 3bar map sensor and checking the wg operation. I might be collecting it on the 11th next Sat if everything goes to plan.

Do 3bar map sensors read the same voltage range? - ie what was 2bar creates the same voltage as 3bar?

Removing N249 is a doddle, and well worth it - who wants the ECU dumping mid throttle!

that's what I was thinking - just need to scale the boost as well rather than plug & play (and read the right number)

The sensors use 0-5 V as it's the maximum range of the Analogue-Digital convertors on board the ECU processor. There is a register which allows you to set different upper & lower limits within that 0-5V for better resolution when converting a narrow range signal. This is based on an older Motronic system (M2.9) but I expect it's the same for later setups. If you know the processor model, you might be able to find the datasheet & confirm.

Its all relative, but as for "all" the related maps being adjusted to allow for the different scaling.... remains to be seen.

Not advised by some tuners to do this mod.

Std table will saturate at 1.55bar boost... and mine runs 1.6bar Sit at top (and beyond slightly) of table ot rerange lower down and regain some resolution... Debatable, dependant on tuning tools probably, and personal ethos on whats best to tune a car like.

I can definately believe reranging a MAP sensor to 3bar will influence many internal maps in the ME7, and how many of these maps are used for normal tuning (hence being adjustable) is a question I dont have an answer for.

30K relatively trouble free motoring on the std MAP sensor running 1.6bar on VF34 would say to me it can work fine to that level on std MAP sensor.
