I'm ashamed to admit.

That I achieved an average 7.8 litres per 100 km's on our trip north last week over 650 km's.
That's 35 mpg. It even got down to 6.6 on one stretch of flat straightish roads.
I was driving like Miss Daisy because my wife was driving her Arona in convoy, so I had to go easy on the overtaking a bit.
Normally I average 8.5 to 9.5 if I'm getting on it. So being boring is worth about .7 to 1.2 l/100km's, hardly worth the effort.
I did have a moment with our thick blue line though. A cop tagged me with radar when I had the cruise set at 104, they don't ticket you until 10 over here, so I was was surprised to see his flashers go on as he passed me and he slowed to do a U turn. I thought this might be one of the BS stops that sometimes happen. So I kept going at the same speed, rounded a corner and couldn't see him anymore. When he didn't show I called my wife who said he'd stopped a car between us. This silly bugger had been traveling at our speed for a few km's and chose the worst time to nudge the speed up a bit.
