I traveled a 12 hour round trip down to Essex in the miserable rain at the weekend to pick up a car I've wanted since I drove a Quiksilver, a good few years ago. She wasn't perfect but I knew this was the car for me.
The weather has been all doom and gloom so I thought I would work on the Interior until the weather gets better!

So, first off! It has a tape player...
I bought a Cassete > Aux lead from Argos but it was terrible, knocking around in the tape deck and making cringe-worthy noises. There was only one thing for it...

The handle surrounds have seen better days...

I saw a guide on here on how to remove them, so I decided to pop to Halfrauds for some supplies to smarten them up. That's tonight's job!

The rear windscreen wiper made a horrible noise when it went, so while I was in halfords I bought some new wipers. Bosch Aero Wipers all-round and they work a treat!

The upholstery looks like it could do with a bit of a scrub up and while I'm at it I may as well treat the leather, so again while in Halfords...

I'm going to remove the snail vinyl on the back, maybe get something else but in the meantime, i have these to stick somewhere...

Other plans on the cards are to:
- Bleed the clutch because it needs pumping a few times to go into 1st gear.
- Clean up the engine bay with degreaser and metal polish.
- Change the Driver's side front because it's starting to get a bit low on the tread.
- Do something with the exhaust, because at the minute it's just a loud drone. I would like something with a little more tone, if anybody can share some insight on exhausts?

I like to see out of my rear window, haha. I never understood why people did to all their GTis when I had a Quiksilver.

Cheers man, how much am I looking for for one of those, is their any videos of them on YouTube?

In grey primer:

I used masking tape to cover all the switches and plugs and gave it a healthy layer of paint, pretty decent finish.

Here's the book of receipts, this thing is bursting with MOTs and receipts of all kinds.

To be honest mate, It's been raining every time I've had it out so I haven't really opened it up. But the times I have given it a bit of poke, it's kicked me back into my seat!

I'll get on the Milltek site now and have a look, cheers!

-

Just ordered my self x1 big and x3 little SeatCupra.net stickers!

I had a Milltek on mine originally and wasn't impressed with it really.

Has yours got the centre box in? Is the down pipe 3inch? As the blueflame DP is 2.75inch!

But think your find what ever exhaust you fit will always be booming Because you have a hi-flow manifold and hybrid. I had a hi-flow mani on just a k03s and was a lot louder than the K04 setup I ran after wards so wouldn't waste your money changing it tbh. There are vids in my thread but put the money else where like a LSD diff, best mod ever :)

The previous owner said to get a Limited Slip Diff, so I'll look into that.

Gave it a little clean for the first time today:

Handles and surrounds have the first coat of blue paint:

Looks like I could do with a new headlight, unless I can renew the seal somehow?

I'm looking to get some Daylight HID Bulbs for my Full beam but the car already has ballasts, can it have 2 sets of ballasts? What's the bulb size for full beam?

Yes, they're blue, mate. If they look like something a dog has **** out when they're on then I'll paint them black :p

I have some 20mm spacers to go on the rear, I'll get that done this week some time.

I've bought a new key and my local Seat dealer will code it, it has some dodgy central locking issue too so I'll get them to look at that too!

Managed to get the Door Handles and Surrounds back on today. I'm happy with them, much better than they were! They look quite luminous in this picture but they're not actually as bright as that.

Had the driver's side front tyre changed, so It's now rolling on 4 decent tyres.

Plans for the near future are to put some bright HIDs in the full beam, replace the drivers side headlight and hopefully get out to so Meets to see other people's cars and meet people!

My dad is mates with somebody who has a bodyshop and recently had his van resprayed. Perhaps a respray is on the cards for the Ibiza? It could do with it really!

Looking very nice chap, I saw this advertised and was half tempted myself but I couldn't justify owning two and I wouldn't part with mine :)

+1.

I saw the ebay ad and then you posted that you'd bought it. I ended up getting a Leon Cupra a few days later.

Regarding your door handles did you use regular paint or a special one for plastics?

Nice looking example mate looks sweet :D

What's the example with the Central Locking? I've got the Leon Cupra with stupid central locking issues and the previous owner spent 450 quit trying to find the issue at SEAT but they couldn't find it lol

Cheers guys, it means a lot. It has the power under the bonnet, I'm just trying to smarten the aesthetics up a bit.

I just used Halfords Wet & Dry, Paint Prep Cloths, Plastic Primer, Colour and Lacquer. I think it came to around £25, worth it for how much better they are!

Bought a new Drivers side Headlight and a Beesting Aerial last night.

The passengers side lock doesn't lock off the button but does unlock off the button, it's just a pain reaching over and having to lock the passengers door separate.

I've been busy buying quite a few bits for the car. Just aesthetics to smarten it up, it's running well so I'm just improving on the looks until I know for sure what I want out of the engine and transmission.

Today I took my car to my local Car Electronics shop (A.C.C.E) to see if they could sort out my dodgy central locking. They plugged it onto Diagnostics and it's the motor that's the problem. So I'm £207 lighter and it's booked in for Friday.

Swapped the standard ariel for a Beesting.

The Headlight arrived today, just waiting on the H3 Xenons for the Fogs and the H1 HID kit and and I'll whip the bumper off and do it all in one!
