Importance of using VW 505.01 in a PD Engine

    and you can get the oil VW dealers use from your local motor factors for less than half that price.

    So it's going to be about £60

    Will it make that much diference though as I always change my oil at least 2 times a year :think:

    Is the Platinum stuff not around £20 or less for 5 ltrs, can't see factors being £10?

    Long life we bought before was about £35 right enough

    I had a pd150 leon cupra that had previously been running (of you want to call it that) on incorrect oil!!!! uses 505.01 and nothing else
