In Car Heater problem - please help!!

Hi people

Was wondering if someone could help me please.

Got a MkII Ibiza Cupra Sport Gti 8v and am having some problems with the in car heaters.

The heaters, which have always worked spot on till now are playing up

They are cold for much longer, then tend to heat up when the revs go up with the engine under load. Once backing off again and going with the flow of traffic the air goes cooler again, although not totally cold.

Could it be the thermostat?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

coolant will flow to the heater matrix if the thermostat is stuck - I know this as it's how I've got home! turn the heaters onto max....

Following on from this, does anyone know if its easy or difficult to change the light bulb behind the switches for the heating system??

5 mins more or less

the front facia clips off - usually from underneath - GENTLY up each side and watch for the clear bits going everywhere

you'll see 3 dials with 4 screws (1 in each corner) undo em - dont lose the clips if they fall

work the heater panel out through the gap sideways - it will go eventually

on the back theres a white shroud with a single bulb/holder - bingo
