Nick Leason has secured an eleventh hour deal to compete in this year’s Blaupunkt SEAT Cupra Championship with Team NJL Racing and will be on the grid for the first race at Brands Hatch this weekend.

“It’s just a miracle we are out and I would like to thank all those that supported me over the last few months when it’s been very hard times,” said Nick. “We now just want to get out there on the track and enjoy it.”

Nick's late entry swells the SCC entry list to 19 confirmed:

Car 27 (Jonathan Fildes I think?) was quickest on the last times I saw.
Really great pack of cars this year.

You can really see the impact on the Clio championship which had a poor grid for today's race.
And to rub more salt into Renault's wounds, a SEAT Leon safety car was being used for the Formula Renault sessions
