...fitting nightmare "by proxy" anyway.

My car's been in local garage for a full day, still not done yet, they're having a mare getting the INA Exhaust Mani' to fit.

First, they tell me they've had to file a bit off it to stop it fouling on the head. Second, they've now got it bolted up to the head but they can't get the 3 turbo > mani bolts in.. having real issues. I'm sure they'll get it during the day tomorrow but...

Is this normal? THey asked if it was even made for this car!!!!!

Cheers guys - I'm pretty sure the eventual answer (slacken it off and bolt it from DP first) will probably be obvious to the guy working on it.. he's done similar VW stuff.. but I'll give him the pointer in the morning.

Hi Benny! Hope you're well and enjoying the 'don. I'd have taken you up on that but they've done it now. Charged me 4 hours labour which I think is fair as it took them way way longer.

....I've done a 65 mile journey since fitting and all was fine right until the end - I now noticed that on high boost (like pulling to full throttle in 2nd, or 3rd) I get a repeated squeaking sound.. It's a standard K03 on a revo stage 1 map. Any thoughts?

I've been reminded by the garage that they told me I also had a snapped manifold stud ("it snapped off in the head mate") which has not been repaired. I assume this might cause this..

Chances of fixing it without head removal, anybody?

I had the same with mine, you can get stud removal tools and I managed to get mine out without removing the head with a bit of fluke.

I've got the same problem.....

I've heard the noise on Damoegan's car as I helped fit the manifold. My conclusion so far has been that the noise is a boost leak from a hose we haven't done up properly.

However, the fact that there's another car with the same issue is opening the possibility that it's a gasket not seated properly. What I don't see is that the car doesn't sound like a tractor at lower revs......

I had a close listne to mine today and it does indeed sound like its leaking from the manifold somewhere :(

Hope I dont have to remove it again to re seat the gasket........
