Good Evening all,

I have had this issue for a few days, i have done my best to have a look through the forum to see if there is another person with the same issues but have been unsuccessful, i apologise in advance if there is another post out there.

So I have a 2009 MK2 Leon and in the last few days it has developed an issue where by the side repeaters do not operate at all, I have tried it on the hazard lights and on there own left/right indicator circuits they also do not work when the alarm sounds/car unlock and locks. I have checked the connectors and replaced the bulbs (no light out warnings or quick ticking/flashing) to no avail. I was changing a few standard things with VCDS last weekend (lock/unlock chirps, seat belt warning and DRL's) but the side repeaters were working after this. I did go back in and change the settings back to previous in case this was the issue but still nothing(maybe i clicked something on VCDS that I haven't realised). I am now stumped and wondered if anyone here has had this issue and knows of a quick fix,I haven't checked fuses and relays yet as it started to rain and i guessed that if the other circuits they are attached to are working then the fuses etc would be fine.

Welcome buddy,

I would assume that the fuse would stop more than just your side repeaters if it wen't, if you take out a normal bulb do you get the error on the dash? I also assume they are standard bulbs and not LED.

You checked to see if the bulb connector gets power? I'm not a pro but these random questions may jump start someone with the knowledge to help.

Good afternoon Jimbobcook, thank you for the reply and welcome :)

I have just removed the bulb on the side repeater and no error or quick blinking on the other indicators, i then fitted the volt meter to it and it had a 0.07 when the lights should have been off and a reading of 0.14 when i switched the indicator on so seems to get power even if its not actually lighting up, yeah your right that they are the standard bulbs in them still, the only LED bulbs I have put in it so far are the licence plate bulbs. I also removed both the rear indicator lights at different times and the bulb out warning and ticking were active for both.
