Has anyone out there used the above product on their turbo?

There is an interesting article this month in Volkswagen Driver about it for turbos with overboost problems and sticking vanes etc.

    Any testimonials...?

hi got mine done yesterday WOW what a difference had problems with going into limp mode not any more engine more responsive cost was 30 quid for kit and 100 quid labour + vat but it worked alot cheaper than a new turbo.

Interesting. What explanation were you given for needing a new turbo?

Were you having problems starting from cold and was your acceleration jumpy or sporadic?

told might need new turbo due to carbon contamination causing vanes to stick and making turbo overboost thus going into limp mode. got local vag specialist to do job as its a bit of a pain to get to turbo.

    Nice!

Do you not have to be in the industry to get it off their website? Or did u just make up a company name?

    The inexpensive DIY method

With a cold engine, unbolt the CAT/exhaust from the turbo (3 bolts).

Liberally spray 'oven cleaner' (£4 carbon remover) into the exhaust side of the turbo.

Work the VNT mechanism for 5 minutes.

    Leave for 1 hour.

Give it another spray (aerosol or foam), then work the VNT actuator lever again.

    Mop up any remaining liquid

Reattach the CAT, and go for a long drive.

    VNT mechanism unstuck.

Not sure if i would use oven cleaner on the CAT, maybe a citric acid cleaner etc.
