Been looking at quotes between PD130' and FR TDi's 130, whats the difference in insurance groups? are they both group 8, if so why are my FR quotes higher than that of the PD130, i thought that was the same engine? i can insure a pd130 for about £1100 fully comp and a FR for about £1600, thats over 2 years driving and 1 years NCB. :wtf:

It wont just go on insurance groups though, the fr's are worth allot more if you crash them + a newer car than the older pd130 sports etc etc

Just have a shop around, i am with bell.co.uk. always been cheap for me whilst been a young driver. Im paying 950 now fully comp, business miles insured, 15k a year miles, can drive any other car tpft etc Give them a try?

Elephant £287  Ok Ok i am an old git :D

Back in !989 21 yrs old Porsche 924 turbo, insurance= £1350. That must be over £3k in todays money. I was only bringing home £130, so ten weeks money, no wonder i was skint :D

Shop around big time always worth phoning to see if they can better the price. My partners insurance (churchill) dropped £100 on her cooper without really pushing them.
