Interior Light

Hi

Ive recently purchased an 02 plate Arosa 1.0S and despite having to replace the EGR valve and clutch cable it seems a good buy for a runaround. Problem I have is that when I open the doors the interior light doesnt come on. It works fine in the ON position but not on the door. Ive had a look around and Im assuming theres a switch activated when the door opens but no joy any help would be appreciated!!

does it work from passenger door?
does the lights on buzzer work?
if its ok on passenger side it will be the door catch or wiring to it

The light doesn't work with either the drivers or passengers door and there is no buzzer when you open the drivers door with the lights on.

Girlfriends Arosa has the exact same problem, can anyone help ?
