Im concerned with stains and spills etc on my lovely alacantra seats, like the random patches you get on car seats.

Has anyone used protection sprays which they can recommend.

I’m thinking of dodo juice fabric protector

I looked at the whole paint and interior protection but read reviews may as well do it yourself

I had mine done with Gtechniq Smart Fabric about two months ago, two teenage kids to deal with! So far so good but not had any spills to deal with. Just one thing, it's very smelly for a week or so.

I had a single stage polish with Meguiars M205 Ultra Finishing Polish and C Quartz UK ceramic when I got it in March. Jury's a bit out on ceramic coatings but for £40 I thought I might as well have a look at it. I top it up with Car Pro reload and use Auto Finesse finale in-between.

One thing I an really impressed with is AM Rain window treatment, it's lasting well and works at low speeds (30 MPH).

Did you just spray the interior yourself ? Did you test it with water since ?

Did it affect the leather part of seat ?

My mate did it. I’d probably mess it up. I’ll probably reapply it so I’ll ask him if he masked off the leather/vinyl parts or just wiped off the overspray

I have used Scotchgard to test on my FR and just wipes it off.

No issues so far but I’m going to use dodo juice on the Cupra as it had the top review from actually spill testing.

I asked on website and they said it should be fine,I think I’ll use a piece of paper as a guard or some card

I wouldn't put AF finale over CQUK.
I would stick to Reload and only wash it with carpro reset.

Fabric waterproofing products work well, but they aren't permanent, they require a reapplication and I also think they need a few coats to fully work. The more you use the seat the more often they will need applying.

Alcantara is synthetic so it is at least quite easy to clean if it does get liquid on it, you can just use upholstery cleaner on it, but to keep it looking right do the whole panel if you are going to clean it so you don't get a tide mark.

I know not a car product... but I have used Liquiproof on many pairs shoes/trainers of all fabrics without any issue, and have a pair of suede trainers that went to NYC in winter 2 years ago and are still looking fresh. Might be worth considering?
