Iphone and contacts - 2018 cupra

Hi all,
i have an iphone thru work and only have 300 or so contacts.
however the sync either thru car play or normal BT only syncs to the letter 'M'
am i being thick with it?

I’ve got 270 contacts and they all show in the car phone menu and via Car Play. Car Play is effectively just your phone displayed on the car’s screen, there is no sync involved. So this must be a phone issue of some sort.
