Hey guys my clutch has just started to slip abit in 6th at motorway speeds when i floor it i.e 70/80mph to overtake but not at slower speeds.
Aint the normal test to boot it in high gear at low speed and should slip then if its dead?
Car has done nearly a 117000 miles and about 75k of them at stage 2 revo so its probably past its best, should i just leave it and hope for the best and if it goes it goes as i cant realy afford to replace it at the minute.

Cheers people.Luke

Try to accelerate up hill starting in 3rd, or starting on the flat in 4th. They'll be plenty of revs but you should still start moving if it's ok.

If its only starting to go in 6th you will be ok for a while as thats probably the highest load the clutch will have to take. The clutch is made of friction material and all thats happening is its worn and starting to loose friction it wont just die as such unless its abused. It will need replacing as these things only get worse but to prolong its life just drive a lot smoother and dont stamp on the throttle
