ISO fit help

Probably am being totally thick but when a stereo says ISO fit does it mean it will plugs straight into the existing stereo/speaker wiring, or does it mean it will fit an ISO adapter that will go into the existing wiring. cause 2 people have given 2 different answers.

You're car has ISO sockets, any aftermarket HU will have ISO plugs that fit into them without adapters.
