So got an Amber check engine light today and the temp gauge has been all over the place. Got it plugged in and code said oil temp sensor , I would have thought a thermostat failure was my h more likely , any thoughts?

I'd start with the oil temp sensor if that's the error the readers throwing up. After that if it's still a problem, thermostat.

I know thermostats are cheap and not that difficult to change so...could start there if you doubt the reader.

I had corrosion on some of the wires under the battery location. Had to put in some new wires and all is good now.
