After much consideration and deliberating I could well be ordering a TDI FR in the next few days. :-o My dealer principle summed it up when he found out and said "surely not? Scott's got Cupra written on his pyjamas!" :)

i would not be ordering either untill they both had dsg as options

stop start traffic in a diesel is not fun

IMO you'd be better off waiting until you can compare both models in the flesh. You've survived ages with 2 Ibizas, 3 more months isn't going to make a great lot of difference - but could lead to great disappointment if you make the wrong decision now

once cupra fever grabs hold of this website again and everyone is talking about 300bhp+ after remaps and geting FMIC's and doing so and so will you regret getting a diesel that will only go to 230-240bhp
