Working on other's cars most the time doesnt help neither (its always the plumber that has a leaky tap)
I'll be volunteering your services on a certain task for mine - hows your wiring? ;)

If the SX is done, I'll bring my new wiring kit :p - should be straightforward enough :)

Mark, did you manage to win that Ibiza on ebay??? Maybe we should have a whip round of man power to come and finish your motor off (a bit like a painting party for houses!) for all the effort you've put into others. Limit of my expertise would be a polishing arm (although I do know more about the 16v than 1.8T's). Maybe I could be chief gluer of that silver toy car to the roof of your car??? (and this time I'll try not to hot glue gun my fingers together)

Nah, it's gone above what I think it's worth, and by the time it's back here it'd owe me £450, tax & fuel, so I figured as the cordy needs both of those, i may as well keep the money for that. so I won't be cutting it up (this week)

@ vern - 20VT doesn't cost *that* much, especially since I won't be getting shafted by any specialists for 'labour' or anything - hardest bit will be routing the wires for an OE ECU.

then again - the 16v is a lot of fun to drive on the boil.

then there's my other crazy plan

I keep almost buying the subframes from ebay, and not 'that' much needs to be cut out. linking up the haldex would be a later job I think though

vern, wedding is easy :) just pay $xxx and buy more stuff like rings, and 'go'
