Luckily police don’t have enough time on their hands to search through car forums to find cars which have had the DPF, CAT modified or removed. They would have a field day as most people who join the forums especially previous ones I’ve being on are interested in modifying a car and increasing the bhp/performance. And the best way is too remove the restrictions hence people removing CAT’s/DPF’s. I’m sure one day they will bring in more road side & random strict checks to catch people out but currently as long as the car has passed its MOT then there’s not a lot they will do. Luckily people always know someone who will turn a blind eye at MOT time or go the extreme of refitting the CAT just for the MOT. I’m sure things will change rather soon with the whole anti diesel campaign but people will always come up with other alternatives:)

Steady on... I wasn’t having a dig I was just saying certain people enjoy modifying their cars! Just because you aren’t into modifying doesn’t mean it’s wrong. Your lucky the Exeo scene isn’t the most popular for modifying as if it was you would be off into melt down ;) The B7 Avant (same car as Exeo) following on the other hand is pretty big! Anyway let’s stop ruining Jay1601 very interesting progress thread.

My B7 had a straight pipe off the turbo never had an issue with the police :)

Today’s jobs nothing too exciting full service and fit a pair of track rod ends then off to get the tracking done

Hopefully get a chance to grab the S4 off the Bodyshop this week aswell

When it gets warmer either going to Matt black the roof rails or maybe remove them like on my B7

I bet that sounded rather nice! Keep the rails estates look so much better with them ;)

Looks brilliant! It’s a shame SEAT never put these on as standard like Audi did with the B7. Definitely a mod Im considering just finishes the back end of nicely.

Hard to understand your problem with the Seat badge, I have been into VAG cars for the last 15 years and Seat have impressed me most, why hide the truth? OK its an Audi, but its an Audi with lots of extras for no extra cash, get real!
Problem is Jays a snob and a horrible person

You know he also cycles right, disgusting

The rear spoiler looks great, on my last Exeo (which was also a black ST) it came fitted with a genuine accessory spoiler that bonded over the existing one. It looked great from a distance but I wasn't keen on it when I got up close, cheap plastic meant it was a bit ripply and it didn't sit flush. It actually unbonded itself when I was polishing the car for the advert pictures so it's sat in the garage but now I've seen yours I might reconsider.

I take it the old spoiler needs to come off for the B7 one to fit - is it just a couple of screws and clips like most VAG ones? Did you need to do any mods to get it sitting right?

My 2p on the black badges thing - I personally like to keep my badges chrome, I strangely take pride in driving what I drive! The new owner of my old one managed to satin black the front grille badge before writing it off, and I didn't like it. However, I really like yours as you've gone all the way and you've done it glossy. To me it's like an Audi Black Edition with black badges. It's classy, it's been proven to work before and it looks great. Are you planning on wrapping the chrome window trims and roof rails gloss black to complete the look?

So what's next? I hate to make you spend your money but I think a 2012 "honeycomb" grille will make it look even better :)

Use a genuine S4 or Sline spoiler just cut the fixing lugs off and bond I always use Tigerseal

Honey Combe grill in next on my list, would like to upgrade to the newer headlights but too much for the sake of DLR

Thanks for the advice, you removed the original spoiler first though, right?

The only reason I didn't buy your car was the lack of xenons. It's way too much work to get the 2012 lights working on non-xenon cars, you need a different bumper with headlight washers, auto levelling system, bigger washer tank etc etc etc. I found an ugly colour SE in the end with xenons, sunroof, heated seats, f&r sensors & fridge, I figured Bose & trim were easier to fit. I did the 2012 headlight swap last weekend, it looks a lot better but bulb errors appear every time they get switched on. The only way to cure it is with a 2012 onboard power supply module.

The 2012 grille will finish off the front end nicely. I look forward to seeing one fitted.

Hit a bloody pheasant this morning made a right mess
Smashed the lower bumper grill
Smashed the fog light out and the fixing points (only got 1 left will have to make up a bracket for the others)
Cracked the bumper in 2 places

Got grill and fog light coming Monday from TPS

Bumper will go into the Bodyshop next week

Found time to fit B7 S4 caliper clips
8d9ac61dbc266e1f7f1c234d27a4c712.jpg

Friend gave me a 10” sub, knocked up a box which sits inside the spare wheel and made up a new panel, had MDF and carpet in the shed all free other then couple hours time today

Ripped out the inferior Bose sub and used that space to place my amp, kept the standard bose amp which is used to power the other speakers in the car, with all the covers back on fully OEM look is retained and losing no boot space was the main thing
