BTW - The joiner elbows are 135 degrees , and not 45 .
45 creates a tight V shape - a U-turn in fact .
135 degrees is the geometric equivilant of what's in all your photos . from TIP to MAF that is .
Check out this shop for the right elbows .

notice furthr into each degree section, the angles drawn , and picture your engine bay area from TIP to MAF .

This looks perfrct and long - 2 x 152 mm.

So is a straight piece of silicon hose called a 180 degree elbow? lol

Most companies (like forge and samco) label the elbows by the amount of degrees "off straight" the elbow is.

Different companies give them different angles .
I'm just saying geometricly the joiner we need isn't 45 but 135 .

Not going to buy mine from forge as they only do blue! Going to get the elbow from SFS performance as they can do red pipes:) In keeping with my colour scheme!

what shape would you say is best for fitment ? Cylindrical Filters or Conical Filters as in one you cant get a chrome top only rubber but seems like most ppl went for Cylindrical Filters ?

Mine arrived Friday, got the filter from Jetex, and the Samco hosing, hose joiner and clips from MerlinMotorsport.

At the moment just fitted the filter on the end of the MAF, as the samco hose elbow looks like its gonna need a fair bit cut off it as it's a very tight fit in that engine bay!
