Some of you will know my Cupra R is in hibernation at the moment whilst I sort some garage administration out and make a start on the new engine. I've had loads of different cars lately, and then got offered this at a price I couldn't refuse. The plan is to use this whilst I do the overhaul on the R, then probably break the R a few months later and use it as a deposit on a B7 RS4 when the pay rise comes in at work.
Anyway, specs. I bought it on 114k, FSSH, belt and pump done this year off a mate who had looked after it. It was pretty much standard minus a few little tweeks.
That's it about 18 months ago, With my R and my old FR tdi.
Some of you also may know I broke a LCR over summer and I've put a few little bits from that into this. I put the front windows in, as they are tinted, some LCR 18's, an LCR gear gator, a Bora V6 (last part after breaking it) leather handbrake and the half leather interior from the Toledo I'm in the middle of breaking, inc a leather armrest. The leather door cards were half bluey/grey and half black, so I drilled the plastic welds and used a hot glue to re bond the leather sections to the factory FR door cards.
I have also De wipered and removed the rear badges, and gave the boot lid one pass with a mop to see what it could potentially come out like.
I've got a decat dp on the way, at the same time as fitting that this weekend I will clean the turbo with Mr muscle, and hopefully get an egr delete put on with a stage 1 map at some point. I will get photos of the finished interior etc when I get the chance and keep this updated, but I'm not sure how much more I'll do as the LCR is getting a new engine, Inc pro 4 mani and BBT k418t, a new different and ££££ more stuff on top.
