Well I let Bill down today, so the car is stuck at stage.05 for another 6 odd months! Since I've been back I just haven't taken any notice of any dates and thought it was closer to the 8th, so I missed my slot. I offered Bill the money for the money he would have lost because he's the person I want to map the car as I haven't heard a bad word, but he refused. Any way I can't change that now, so hopefully he'll let me book the car in again, this time I'm going to go up in person and pay for the work before it gets done (if he lets me).

This has gone to another member on here.

Replaced by this!

I didn't think it'd make as much difference as it actually does, the 225 wheel is chunkier than the cupra leather one and this one is even fatter and feels even better!
As it stands, I'm in the middle of sorting some money out as I've been offered an interior at a price I really can't turn down, about half what they're worth and its really good condition. So, yet again watch this space as I hope to have it in towards the end of this week.
Another little thing I did was put some dielectric grease in the maf sensor because I have read that it can stop the arking of the contacts, therefore giving a better airflow reading. We use it in the helicopters at work, so £2.40 delivered really doesn't hurt. This is it.

Got another little restricted banjo bolt in the post now from darkside to try and stop my white smoke issue, other than smashing my subframe 2 times in as many days she's running like a dream :)

I saw one sell with a bit of wear for £105 the other day. I paid £130 for mine but its like mint! With the interior you should definitely get one dude, outer cars get more alike each day, got black wheels now too!

Today I had a choice, fit the brembos or plastic dip the wheels, so I chose to do the wheels as no one was around to help me bleed the brakes.

This is what I was up against and this was one of the better ones.

Took an hour a wheel, including jacking, prepping and spraying. I do admit they're not the best but look better that the 'kerbed' paint job. It's only temporary at the moment until I decide on colour etc.

This was the best bit, just like being at school peeling pva glue off your fingers lol.

Also fitted the OE Honda s2000 filter and 2 of the sfs coolant hoses.

Spilt all the coolant, but only a good thing as that's the only thing it hasn't had since I've owned it.
The Cree reverse bulbs. Very bright.

I've decided against fitting the sfs tip after reading jonjays thread, so that's on eBay now! Brand new never fitted ;).

8mm ID I believe, I'd go with forge pipes next as these weep a little which caused my breakdown of late! Possible even 6 or 7mm next time as mine have swelled ever so slightly, causing the weeping and letting in air.
No the bumper went as it wasn't a good example, my mum stood it up in the shed when I was in Tunisia and it cracked all the plastic welds off and cracked the actual plastic of the bumper, splitter was split too, and had dents and touch ups everywhere mate. Really was a bit if an old bus in all honesty. Ill send you pictures of the damage though, didn't forget about you I emailed you but in the end I just got rid cheap, would never have been mint. Still made £60 on it and the bits though ;)

Well the new seats are in and I love them! Haven't wired up the heated switches yet but I will as there is a power source from the electrical connections on the old seats. They've come out a treat too, couple of little dents in the leather where they've been stored but these will puff out eventually. Untreated the fronts to a clean and some auto glym leather balm to put the moisture back into them.
Photos!

Few changes yet again. Firstly is the BMC CDA and crank case breather blanked and vented to atmosphere.

Got given some of this flyeyes type stuff from a place I did a little work at. They tinted the windows of an old London bus that's been turned into a bar.

The lad who bought my old tyres made a deal and soldered led bulbs into these for me. He does it for a tenner plus postage if anyone is interested.

I think I have possibly just sold my baby to my best friend :(
Plus side though is now I can get either a 225 or an R32 when I get back from my next trip away.... It's not 100% but if it happens I'll go without a car and get one when I'm home early December time. I'm sort of hoping it happens, because this car has given me a lot of grief over the 18 months to date, been buying too many bits off of LCR boys I think! R32 or 225? The noise an R32 makes is just so good, just think it will kill me on fuel and tax etc, however an LCR has more potential, my konigs and steering wheel can go in and little things like headlight protectors. What do you boys and girls think?
