thats interesting Andy

whats more interesting is when I originally ordered the K04-1 they originally quoted about 280-300bhp as I thought it was a true hybrid

however.....look at the BD page now for performance turbos and it is now quoting only 250bhp for the k04-1

the K04-1 will pul stronger mid range, but in terms of difference of "on the road" I don't think there will be much difference

fair play to you though, I will now watch this thread with interest...guess you have picked it up where I decided to stop on it lol

I will be going down the GT2x route when I have the cash. tis good for 280-300bhp max, and that suits me perfect and is the same price (cheaper through certain contacts) and will provide more power

I await with interest, game on fella :D

Lol no, too much money, because I know I cant resist doing the internals, and then I am into £££££££££ and my bank manager will not be happy :lol:

I have the Forge tip on at the moment, which will need to be modified for the 3" MAF, but I am sure this can be done somehow....

anyone else done this with the Forge TIP?

well I am having to get the uprated fuel pump, 3" MAF and 4 bar fuel regulator so when I salvage that stuff from an S3 or LCR, I will get the turbo tip as well

The 3inch maf will not fit in the k03 forge tip. The silicone will stretch but not enough to fit in the 3 inch maf. Believe me I have tried! It will need some of the inside of the silicone k03 tip to be cut/ground/sanded off for the 3inch maf to fit and even then it is a very tight fit!

K04/225 silicone tip is what you need. The oem one will not fit I dont think as its metal.

will the k04 tip fit the gt2x as its a different turbo and based on the k03 tip fitment

so kinda stuck really

you need the 3" maf to run the uprated power, but this wont fit the standard k03 tip, so you buy the k04 tip, but then this wont fit the k03 (or gt2x as this is based on the k03):cry:

silicone 225 tip or reducer for you andy but I dont really see the point in the reducer as the tip is the same size past that which wont offr increased flow.
