AFR's on yours are leaner than I run.. 12.5, then 12 from 6krpm to 7500rpm limiter
    4th gear runs on dyno

Thats not my map, its what frankenturbo uses with similar turbo as yours and it claims for 300+whp.

mine is afr 10 @ 3000 until 5000 and then 10.5 until limiter, EGTs are 850c max.

this is a "base" map which i run now with 14o timing at upper revs.

soon i'll make a dyno map and i am looking @ 12 afr until limiter with more timing added.

What exhaust manifold do you use?

300whp on a hybrid k03 (not k04) is not realistic from anything I have seen here.
the lupos 2283/k03 is closest to it, from its modest 20psi boost and thats a k04 hybrid inside a k03 in reality.

    F23 is the 300+bhp unit (k04)

    no update
Its running.. turbo wise all seems fine...

I need to sort a mapping issue out which is bugging me on very low throttle opening, but its running fine on the road.

I would not run it more than the 20psi level I am running it at, which is enough for >300bhp anyhows, as egt's are getting high.. and by high I mean the same as remapped LCR K04 cars run.. Small hotside of the k03 is the flow limiter ultimately. Its a solid and very repeatable 300bhp car tho when I've dropped it back onto the dyno to check again, and its consistently 304-306bhp levels..

I have'nt had any time for several weeks, so I do plan to remove the turbo and check it, and probably port out the wastegate and housing and see if there's any benefits to be gained from that.

how is it boosting on the road? i see the boost curve in the #112, and it looks like it is coming on boost at 3000 RPM and full boost is like 3600-3800 RPM, is this stil the same on the road if you drive 4-5-6 gear from 2000-2500 RPM.
i am very curious how low-end torque is on a daily driving with this hybrid (2000-3500 RPM). im driving LC with stage 1 (K03), is the spool any way near the same? or is it way slower/later?

no fixed price for that no.. It depends onto which vehicle as other mods are required as I have said in this thread. (coolant pipe, gear cables etc)

drop me an email to bill@badger5.co.uk if you want to discuss specifics for yours further

    thanks

its fine in a lupo with 2wd so I see no reason why it would'nt be ok in a LC

Some interesting (to some) data I have measured today

Ever wondered how much exhaust manifold pressure is being generated? I have, especially with the hybrid works I have been involved with over these past months.

PSI below uis exhaust manifold pressure measured at collector
    BAR is manifold pressure (boost)
2283/k03 on the lupo is the car in question

    Enjoy!

Now wonder why wastegate gets pushed open?
23psi boost pressure and up to 40psi in the exhaust manifold (collector)

    ;)

    Wow, that's pretty unreal Bill!

I noticed you're running more boost than usual in that test? almost 24psi at 7000rpm, yet it's making less power? Intersting stuff. Incredible that it can hold that much boost though :S

Good info there bill, serious double edge sword for the wastegate, i am not altogether surprised by these figures though, the bummer for the K04 internal WG though is it has to share this right of passage with whats flowing through the turbine, i would love to know the back pressure in there for sure.

But there we go, WG cracking open, then we port the WG on the hybrids to stop creep, this in itself could add more pressure to the penny, pressure over area = force :-(

But does the WG diaphragm operate in the same way, i.e. we can push the diaphragm open with 1bar of pressure applied( if its a 1bar actuator) which equals the actuator rod moving, but applying pressure to the actual WG equals a pulling force, is the force applied equal in both directions, does pulling the WG offer more resistance? is that a crazy thought to see how much pressure it actually takes to pull the WG open rather than pushing it! i would imagine force is force regardless of the direction its applied on an object designed to work within set parameters, just thinking out loud really.

I have a forge actuator on the V1 at the moment, cracks at .8 bar wtf, yellow spring my hole!

Great work Bill, thats a most important piece of tech info, proven by measurement. No wonder a 1bar spring is required for top end boost. You've done some stering work during this thread, well done.
What is the max egt you think is acceptable on these K0'xxx turbos.

Porting should increase the wastegate area when the wastegate is closed, reducing the force on the wastegate. Although no difference in area once the wastegate is open.
