IMO the k04-001 upg worth doing as an upgrade from a k03 or to replace a worn k03s, just to get that extra 10-15bhp and substained boost.
There is a noticable power delivery with the k04-001 and k03s, The k04-001 needs to be spooling high when shifting from 2nd to 3rd and to 4th or else it will bog down quite bad and feel flat, its a turbo that like higher revs. in other word it can be a very laggy turbo when driven in the wrong manner.
Where with the k03s-052 which spools up and come on to song a lot faster not matter where your shifting point is.

But if your thinking of comming from a good k03s then it is not worth the money.

yes....so my point is, the earlier turbo fitted to the 210 audi S3 (k04-001) will fit the k03 manifold?

sorry where have you got your facts from , the k04 001 , was not fitted to early s3 , k04 001 won't fit a k04 manifold it will fit a k03 , k04 001 is a slight upgrade of the k03s , the s3 /lcr/tt bam are all running k04 02 series turbo's i had a 1999 s3 and remove the turbo it was exactly the same as the k04 023 i got now for my k04 build

if you want to go bigher turbo all depends and your budget and what you want to acheive in terms of power v driveability , if you got deep pockets you can go big turbo gt28/30/35 but be mindful you have to do work to internals and might need stronger clutch but these turbos aren't the best imo if you want as a daily drive to shops laggy compared to k03s , you can go k03s hybrid route also which great for gains and remain quick spool

The standard turbo is capable of 240bhp & 270lb/ft..

All you need is a high flow down pipe, Forge TIP, open cone filter and a uprated intercooler + stage 2 map..

Oh, but it can do more dan 240/250 BHP.
Mine does 260.

Unfortunately I can't post the dyno result because I'm below the 15 post count.

There are lots of people on here that have made ~200g/s on a standard k03s (with logs to prove it)..

I have seen as mutch as 193g/s and consistantly used to log 185g/s....

sorry from my experience having had 4 k03s powered cars and many mates with k03s powered cars and experience with many tuners and comments from 95% of tuners won't flow pass around 190 g/s accurate g/s anyway i've seen what your saying your car is flowing 210 g/s when the maf limits 212 g/s. don't mean to sound doubtful but i've seen cars claiming 250 bhp on rollers but when went on what i call not happy rollers pull alot less than that.

Well, i don't have a maf anymore so that limitation is out.
But to get to 250/260 bhp you need a lot of modifications and a very healthy turbo/engine.
