Like CupraKen said above, don't give them a chance to void your insurance. Plus when I was getting quotes online the K1 was same price as a standard Cupra.
I know they are not fitted at the factory but because they can be ordered has part of a new car from seat they are classed has factory order items. Thats what I was told by Esure anyway.
I'm with Direct Line and gave them the reg plate, the car showed up on their system as a CupraK1. It's a group 17 to insure, so costs should be prety similar to the standard Cupra if not the same ?
Run it through a comparison website and when you enter the Reg you will see what the insurance data base has got it down has. If you did it online and used the Reg it is not unknown for the wrong car to be asociated with the Reg number.
some k1's wont come up as k1's on a reg check. Insurers are aware of this but its not a problem. K1 and std cupra premium will be similiar, no more difference than 200 notes depending on age
told the insurance and its all sorted now cost 17.50 more but they just waved that cause they never asked me when i insured it so happy days and sending new docs out
